Glasgow Student Storage

It’s May, that means it’s very nearly June. And in June the cream of our youth emerge from their hours of study and consider how they will fill nearly 4 months of holiday.

But first they must move out of their accommodation. That means transporting all their stuff home. Or at least it used to. In my day, everything had to be hauled home and then dragged back after summer.

My modern counterpart will only consider student storage. They rent a small room, sometimes shared with friends and store their worldly belongings. This saves the hassle of taking it home.

The smartest even manage to get their parents to book the storage unit and the really talented get them to pay for it too.

This only leaves the tricky challenge of transporting their items from their term time room to the student storage facility. For some this logistical equivalent of putting down a toilet seat proves to be too great an endeavour. Luckily for some transport is provided as part of the service. All they need to do is remember the date and time – a feat beyond the capability of some.

Once their items are safely stored a major transformation happens. What many thought to be a moronic student now becomes a globe-trotting human dynamo. No challenge is too great, no bar can be resisted, no meal refused and no hedonistic pleasure turned down. No wonder they’ll need a whole term to recover and build their reserves for their next migration.
